Who
I am an energy nerd currently working on concentrated solar power and high temperature thermal energy storage.  I graduated from the Georgia Tech in 2022 with a PhD in mechanical engineering.  My dissertation work centered around phase change material (PCM) integrated thermal energy storage systems integrated heat pumps for indoor space thermal conditioning applications where I was advised by Dr. Samuel Graham Jr. and Dr. Kyle R. Gluesenkamp.  Read it here. 

My current role is as a postdoctoral researcher at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in the Energy Conversion and Storage Systems Center under Dr. Zhiwen Ma and Dr. Guangdong Zhu.

Aim
My career interests revolve around solving the looming challenges with the complete transformation of the energy sector to net-zero carbon technologies.  My goal is to provide advanced engineering knowledge to help inform key policy decisions regarding the energy sector.  I want to work on diverse teams spanning disciplines, backgrounds, and viewpoints.  With this diversity, the combined knowledge and expertise can answer the extraordinary and immediate questions about our uncertain energy future.  I care deeply about energy equity, carbon-neutral energy technologies, and a circular economy.  I want to analyze advanced energy systems on large scales and pave the way for making renewable energy the baseload energy source.

Scope
Trained in depth in mechanical engineering, I have technical skills that extend into industrial engineering and material science.  In addition to my interests, hobbies, and skills outside of work, I have extensive breadth to approach a multitude of problems.
